Our Mission
At The Black ADHD Coach, my mission is to support individuals — especially Black professionals and creatives — in navigating ADHD with clarity, compassion, and confidence. I provide a safe, affirming space where you can be your whole self while learning how to build structure, process emotions, and achieve your goals in ways that feel authentic to you.
Our Vision
I envision a world where people with ADHD are empowered — not shamed — and where cultural understanding is central to support. Coaching should reflect real lives, not just checklists. My vision is to help you thrive in your truth, embrace your unique strengths, and take bold, intentional steps toward the life you deserve.
Our Values
Meet LaShawn Johnson

Support that sees you and your story
Welcome to the Black ADHD Coach, where I am dedicated to helping individuals from all walks of life achieve their personal and professional goals. As a Black ADHD life coach with ADHD myself, I understand the unique challenges that come with navigating a world that often feels overwhelming and demanding. My coaching philosophy is rooted in empathy, strength, and compassion, values that have been shaped by my experiences growing up as a Black woman in the United States. Regardless of your race, gender, or economic background, I am here to provide a supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore your potential and make meaningful progress toward your dreams.
My Coaching Philosophy
I tailor my approach to honor the diverse needs of my clients, ensuring each individual feels heard, understood, and valued. Together, we’ll develop strategies that foster personal growth, resilience, and confidence. Your journey is unique, and I’m honored to guide you toward a future filled with fulfillment and purpose.
Faith & Cultural Integration
Inspired by the spirit of adventure and acceptance instilled in me by my grandmother, my coaching is deeply rooted in faith and understanding. While my faith in God guides my perspective, I embrace the need for adaptable and inclusive approaches. As a person of color, I recognize the cultural expectations and pressures many of us face and provide a space of support and understanding for all.
What You Can Expect
My coaching style is client-led, supportive, and grounded in partnership. I won’t give you all the answers — instead, I’ll help you find your answers. We’ll co-create a space where you can reflect, reset, and rise. Expect clarity. Expect compassion. Expect progress — at a pace that honors your life and your energy.
Why I Do This
I coach because I believe in the power of transformation — especially when people are finally seen and supported for who they truly are. I find joy in helping my clients break free from shame, understand their ADHD on a deeper level, and move toward goals that reflect their real values. This isn’t just about productivity — it’s about healing, growth, and being your whole self out loud.
